Filip Filipi
I am a second-year PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Bonn, based at the Institute for Applied Mathematics (IAM). I am a member of the Bonn International Graduate School of Mathematics (BIGS) and hold a research-focused Hausdorff Doctoral Position.
My current research focuses on Algebraic and Probabilistic methods in Extremal Combinatorics but I am also involved in the study of graph coverings and related structural questions. I have done my bachelor's degree in General Mathematics and master's degree in Mathematical Structures, both at Charles University, Prague.
I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Dr. Lisa Sauermann and be a part of her research groups on Probabilistic Combinatorics and Random matrices and anticoncentration.
My work is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) under Germany’s Excellence Strategy – EXC 2047/2 – 390685813 and further supported by DFG's Collaborative Research Center – CRC 1720 – 539309657.
