About me

My name is Pascal Steinke and I am doing my PhD with Professor Sergio Conti and Professor Stefan Müller at the Institute for Applied Mathematics, University of Bonn. Prior to that I have completed my Master of Science in Mathematics at the University of Bonn.

Research Interests

I generally work in the field of Calculus of Variations and Partial Differential Equations. My current work focuses on variational models for problems from materials science, like fracture mechanics, dislocations and mixtures of fluids. Further I have a general interest for more abstract Calculus of Variations and PDE theory.
