Lennart Machill

I am a postdoc in the group of Prof. Dr. Angkana Rüland. My general research interests lie in applied analysis, more precisely in the Calculus of Variations and nonlinear PDEs, with applications to problems in materials science. In particular, my main research questions and mathematical techniques include:

  • (Metric) gradient flows
  • Γ-convergence
  • Linearization and dimension reduction
  • Generalized Korn’s inequalities and geometric rigidity
  • Analysis and modeling of (thermo-)viscoelastic materials

In the summer term, I'll offer the graduate seminar

  • S4B2: Graduate Seminar on PDE:
Evolution Equations Arising in Continuum Mechanics

Currently, there are two free slots. Have a look at the webpage for more information.
Moreover, we warmly welcome every participant to our group seminar.
